Steak!

There is nothing quite like having a quality steak cooked over an open fire.  This is my kind of “roughing-it”!  We use a simple seasoning and add any of the following sides:

  • Corn on the cob – throw them on the grate near the fire right in the husk.
  • Sweet or white potatoes- wrap in foil – or not!
  • Foil packet of Peppers, onion, and mushrooms – add a little olive oil or butter before closing up the foil.  Add to the fire about 15 minutes before putting the steaks on.  Yum!!  You can add cut up potatoes to this, if you like.  It may require a little more cooking, though.
  • You can add a salad, but we generally don’t bother.
