Manatee Hammock – Brevard County Park, Titusville, FL
We were here in the summer and there are so many trees that you wouldn’t know it was the middle of summer! What a beautiful place! It’s right on the Intracoastal,so there is a little breeze and with all the tree canopy, there is shade almost everywhere. I think the only places that weren’t shaded were the pool and fishing dock. This is just a beautiful place! We’ll definitely be going back!
UPDATE: Came back for 3 nights over New Year’s Eve. Place was packed, but there is enough space between sites that we did not feel crowded. Fireworks on New Year’s Eve started at dusk and finished by about 12:15. Overall, the campground was quiet, even though it was completely full. Really good, respectful people here – lots of nice families. No one was rude or obnoxious. The hosts are really easy going and helpful. Met some really nice people, too! This campground was hit hard by Hurricane Matthew in October. As of this trip, there was still debris in a big pile on the group campsite. But all the individual sites were back up and running. This continues to be one of our favorite campgrounds!
- POPULATION: Fairly popular park, but not overcrowded. Friendly people, no loud music or disruptive campers.
- CLEANLINESS: Bathrooms and laundry are clean.
- SITES: Beautiful shade trees everywhere, but not a lot of vegetation between sites. Sites are grass & dirt with full hook-ups in the RV sections.
- AMENITIES: This park is right on the Intracoastal Waterway and has a long dock leading out over the water. There is also a small pool. Small store with ice. Publix grocery store just down the road. It’s a nice park to bicycle or walk through.
