I don’t know why RV manufacturers don’t incorporate this idea into new RVs! It is absolute genius!

I had struggled with getting in and out of the VERY HIGH bed. I had a small step stool next to the bed, which is the only way I could comfortably get up and down. I also tend to kick my shoes off near the side of the bed. Therefore, when I was getting out of bed, I had to feel around for the stool with my foot, then take the next step hoping I didn’t land on the edge of a shoe. It had been a struggle. Plus, I kept all my extra shoes under the bed, which is not the easiest thing to access (especially if hubby is IN the bed!)

Enter the storage platform! Hubby built a box, with a plywood lid and covered the lid with vinyl that closely resembled the RV’s flooring. I can lift the lid and store my shoes. Plus, the step is the perfect height to easily get in and out of bed! It was an OMG moment!
